CAMERAS
You're not to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it: Malcolm
Anyone who has proclaimed violence his method inexorably must choose lying as his principle: Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Lisa wryly noted the widespread installation of cameras under the auspices of keeping people safe. They are installed in every shop, every street and along highways. The technologies of today’s world allow vast amounts of data to be recorded, catalogued and stored for years and now cameras were being installed in aircraft and buses and trains.
Was the need to fight crime and keep people safe in balance to the need and massive cost?
Of course not! And she saw the many television crime shows that mandated the uses and benefits of cameras in their on going propaganda roles. And joining with this was the excited hysteria from the media making people think that things were really worse than they are.
Lisa was reminded of the numerous examples whereby police were embedded within protest groups which promoted anti-war and anti earth destruction. These same police inflamed the groups to march and incite violence and in turn get savagely beaten whilst it was all caught on film.
These same videos were in then shown repeatedly and loudly on commercial television as a cautionary reminder to those who wished to dissent. Lisa often mused just how did the television stations obtain the footage – and why. But of course she already knew.
And she also noted that people were installing cameras into their very own homes to spy on spouses and children – the perfect self fulfilling police state.
Some of the so-called needs for cameras ranged from protecting the public against crime, fighting terrorism and acting as a deterrent against crime.
None of these suggestions survive the slightest investigation. The endless scenes telecast on TV don’t show the slightest deterrence value, far too many ‘bombing’ incident cameras were allegedly not working or switched off to fight terror or no thief has suddenly stopped a mugging just because a camera was nearby.
And with the latest commercial imaging software available, anybody could be set up and framed committing a crime, being at a certain place at a certain time and no defense on earth could protect them. The voice digitizing and mimicking skills of software can have a person saying things they never or would say.
Did this sound too paranoid even for Lisa? Not when even the media reported officials and employees allegedly doing the most disgusting and heinous crimes just for financial gain. Add power over others and the system runs out of control. Add secrecy to the mix and freedom from accountability and it all made sense.
And all the while the black robed judiciary became the unquestionable and unassailable engineers of social reform. Any defense lodged against a state or corporation became increasingly inadmissible and rulings based in fairness or common sense became rare. The adage that money pays for the best outcomes in courts of law gives a powerful indicator to how the game is played. The best example Lisa saw of this is with the massive privacy intrusions conducted by states and companies. Yet the citizens have neither say nor recourse in this. And the cameras keep filming day and night.
Even in the most simple terms, if cameras in shops and roads were to catch and identify law breakers, then the motivation was financial gain for the state. To spend millions to apprehend car registration evaders, petty thieves, jay walkers and such only benefited the corporations which provided the equipment. The kick-back systems already in place with such things as vehicle speed cameras already highlights the symbiosis and corrupt nature of these camera arrangements.
And the underlying reasons of financial hardship and distress which often precipitated the minor crimes was never addressed nor mentioned. This area of social responsibility is not the purpose of the courts. Because there is no longer human or societal jurisprudence in the courts, their whole being to provide JUSTICE for all no longer exists. And these same all seeing, all solving cameras never appeared to be the slightest bit effective in stopping huge drug shipments entering countries.
But of course, they are not designed to nor meant to.
Add spychips into cars and private vehicles as well as clothing and credit cards, the day has arrived that there is no journey, no purchase, no deed or action that will not be recorded by camera or scanners.
Strange how defense and spying costs and budgets make social programs such as health pale into nothingness?
