Lisa began to see a pattern emerge. Even the altering of food by genetic design was done by stealth. The designers of crops such as corn, soy, rice, peas, wheat and canola were also the sponsors of the very studies used to pass these foods as safe for human consumption. A dire conflict of interests indeed.

But why the secrecy? Surely anything beneficial that served mankind, especially the starving would be its own best advertising. And why would laws need to be introduced to protect the companies involved?

Genetically modified (GM) crops were introduced 10 years ago however the products were introduced prematurely before the science was ready.

The Russian Academy of Sciences reported that more than half (55.6%) of the offspring of rats fed GM soy died within three weeks. By contrast, only 9% of rats died whose mothers were fed non-GM soy. Rats fed GM corn developed kidney inflammation, altered blood cell counts and organ lesions. A GM pea project in Australia was discontinued when it was discovered the peas were found to create immune responses in mice and thus unapproved. The scientists employed advanced tests that have never been used for evaluating GM food. If those peas had been studied in the normal way, they could have been approved.

Medical reports from India say that farm workers handling GM cotton developed moderate to serious allergic reactions resulting in hospitalization After suffering disastrous crop yields from the cotton crops hundreds of farmers took their own lives. Even the fields once planted with the cotton became sterile and subsequent crops would not grow. And the cross pollination and accidental release into the surrounding areas cannot be contained. But this doesn’t stop Patent lawyers from suing for infringement due to wind blown dispersion.

Lisa found that wheat is now modified so that any seeds produced are either sterile (suicide genes) or cannot be replanted thus forcing farmers away from sowing last years seeds and forcing them to purchase new seeds (also genetic product) from the GMO corporations to the extent that through treaties and so on it is now illegal NOT to sow GMO seeds in many countries and these are predominately third world countries that can least afford the extra costs.

The perils of mono-culture had long been studied and its adverse impact environmentally. Yet the GM crusade was adopted with ruthless force.

Could this really be happening? Lisa found that is was.

Farm  animals, along with humans have now had their genetic codes patented. Pigs, chickens and cattle are fed daily on cocktails of drugs and chemicals to create super animals and amazing milk outputs and naturally these drugs are ultimately consumed by humans in the milk or meat products or are ground up and refed to the animals thus sending chemical levels to insane levels.

And the ticking time bomb of course is Mad Cow disease. An insidious disease that manifests into a deadly human malady up to 20 years later after eating such foods. And the humble chicken fed huge amounts of anti-biotics and then fed to humans and is now resulting in high levels of antibiotics being found in the soil wherever the sewage waste is spread such as land fills, parks and gardens. Bird flu perhaps?

The stunning array of human diseases unheard of 100 years ago continues to spread and grow. Cancer was almost unheard of in the early 20^th century but has now become so much a fact of life most people are resigned to getting it.

Another thing that Lisa had seen emerge in her studies of the various poisons and drugs was, apart from billions of profit dollars being drained from local farms and cities was -  the attack on the biology of the human brain itself.

An attack on health controls the mind.
