Mind drugs
Morality is the best of all devices for leading mankind by the nose: Friedrich Nietzsche, The Antichrist
The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself: Archibald Macleish:
We live in oppressive times. We have, as a nation, become our own thought police; but instead of calling the process by which we limit our expression of dissent and wonder "censorship," we call it "concern for commercial viability.": David Mamet
Lisa always felt very uneasy concerning the explosion of behavioral drugs fed into growing numbers of young children. The two most commonly used ADHD drugs had overwhelming anecdotal evidence of side effects such as hair loss, muscle spasms, depression, severe abdominal pain, tremors, insomnia, severe weight loss and kids as young as five have suffered strokes, heart attacks, hallucinations and convulsions after taking drugs to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
But what ever happened to childhood she thought. Were these young and boisterous minds really that in need of being zombie-fied?
Lisa had always seen the medical industry quickly promote cures but very rarely if ever had she seen direct effort focused on the originating causes. It almost seemed to her that once the adult populations were under control mind wise, that the next targets were the children.
Was the natural inquisitiveness and unlimited imaginations of children somehow seen as a threat? Was their behavior attributed to a rebellion against television impulsing and dietary chemicals?
And more than enough evidence pointed to correct nutrition and exercise as being effective to settle the young minds.
But that seemed not part of the grander plan at work.
Lisa also saw the explosion of prescription mind control drugs being dealt like candy to teenagers and adults worldwide. Mind drugs such as antidepressants are designed to make people feel good. This is an attempt to invent a non existent malady, then treat it with drugs that give an inner peace and joy but the reality is that it brings thousands of people into thinking and feeling the same way. Certainly there was indeed real cases of depression and so forth however current society would bring anyone into depression and anxiety if they allowed it.
The drugs attempt to bring all the people into step and thusly turn millions into machines. The distribution of self diagnosis kits to determine a person’s mental health certainly was not distributed for any altruistic motive or purpose. Self doubting people by the millions rushed to the doctors and psychiatrists to get the drugs to make them ‘normal’. For some strange reason, the image of what is normal as portrayed by televisions, magazines and psych tests was sufficient to drive the herd towards drug therapy. The illusion of drug induced happiness.
The reality really was that the drugs suppressed thoughts, emotions, fears and anxiety – real emotions that serve to protect and grow people’s awareness. This in turn removed perception to see that some things were very wrong in society and deeds occurring were not in their best interests. Drugs stop debate, questioning, dissent and all forms of challenging behavior.
People become slaves.
Mind drugs never treat the causes of the depression and anxiety nor were they ever designed to. They mask the causes from conscious view by way of reduced thinking skills. They create the illusion that everything is okay in the world whereas they are not.
In one major western country, up to 50% of the population is drugged. Frightening indeed once the effects can be seen through the marketing hype.
Normal experiences such as sadness became a mental disease overnight.
Certainly the drugs turned millions into robots – much more efficient and obedient but far less human.
