What did Lisa really seek?

Contemplate thy powers, contemplate thy wants and thy connections; so shalt thou discover the duties of life, and be directed in all thy ways.

           Akhenaton

Have patience as one who fears no failure, courts no

Success.  Fix thy Soul's gaze upon the star whose ray

thou art, the flaming star that shines within the light-

less depths of ever-being, the boundless fields of the

Unknown.

          Helena Petrova Blavatsky

What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. They are but trifles, to be sure, but, scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.

          Joseph Addison

How can finite grasp infinity?

          John Dryden

Lisa had researched and studied for many months. She had begun to see the myriad ways used to keep people controlled and dull in their minds. She saw how the term slave could be used to describe every working person on earth. The free right to choices and self growth were being eroded with each passing day. The feelings of hopelessness and inability to change things that controlled them added to the problems.

Theirs was an illusion of life based on lies, manipulation and false emotional memories.

Lisa wanted none of this so she took decisive steps to change and enrich her life. Lisa gave away her television and stopped purchasing newspapers and magazines for she knew in her heart that now she could see more in life, that the subliminal attacks wouldn’t stop.

But wasn’t the human more than an animal? Didn’t the human possess thoughts, opinions likes and dislikes? Isn’t there a spiritual essence or a ‘core’ that transcended life itself?

She altered her friendship base. She sought out like-minded people with the ability to discuss and observe life with wisdom and detachment

She sought peace and tolerance

She sought emotional freedom

She sought to truly know who she was.

But she knew there was much more to learn.
